Landon, I am using a pair of 1500's also. I really do like them but I wish the controller would come out. What is the top of your tank like to where you can use the mod for hard mounting?

i use the standard AGA canopy for my lighting. when i added the halides i had to add and extension to raise the canopy up. i used 1x10s and raised the canopy 9.5".

on the sides it looks like this

i have a strip of plywood running across the back, so i couldnt hang them there either :rolleye1:

my next canopy will be a little better planned. you cant do everything perfect the first time huh?



i like all yourcoral shots. the greens are awesome. i know the frag feeling ive got a bout 15 SPS in my tank only 4 over 2" and i just got those this weekend. :lol:

You could notch the bottom of the canopy, where it sits on the lip of the tank and mount it there. I'll take a picture of how mine is mounted when I get a chance.

i would appreciate that. im not sure of my trim piece (on the outside) would get in the way. i looked at my canopy and quickly thought well i cant use any of these mounts and moved on to the suction cups. ill take the mounts out of the box when i get home tonight and see if i can figure a way to mount them. im sure a pic of yours would help a ton though

Everythings been good. I love the new lights on the tank! Now I need to look in to a calcium reactor. As these things grow I will be dosing like crazy!

great looking tank so far but.................................... those 3 tangs are gonna outgrow that tank your gonna have to get like a 150 but hey i suppose it gives you an excuse to upgrade in a couple of years time

i second the vote for zoas! hopefully you can get some nice ones....my LFS doenst get many good ones....but, the best ones i have came from the LFS.
