Built Tunze Tough!

Well I had a DUH moment tonight. I was soaking my coralline encrusted stream 6100 in vinegar in the driveway, forgot about it and backed over the driver with my F250. Just for kicks, I bent the flattened metal box back enough to plug the stream back into it and much to my suprise it still worked. Now that's quality! LOL

Where can I order a replacement 7240.27 driver? I don't think an exposed circuit board would hold up under my tank for too long not to mention the safety issues.

If you send me the driver I can probably move it to a housing from a dead board. This isn't easy and I make no long term promises, the 3 transistors and the rectifier have to make a really good contact with the heat sink and tape in the back to stay sufficiently cool and not burn out and this is not easy to do. I have one piece of that tape left and a dead board in a fairly new housing so I can do this with a pretty quick turnaround.

Thanks for the offer Roger but I decided it probably isn't worth the trouble since it's 6 years old and also the two big capacitors are slightly squished.

I just went and picked up a hydor which should hold me over until the stream 2's are available.

Will I be able to control the stream 2's with my reefkeeper or will they require the multicontroller?
