Bulb lifetimes

Hello all I am trying to find out the useful life time of a power compact and a t5. My LFS guy told me a year for power compacts but only 6 months for t5. does anyone have any info on this?

:lol: I think he got it reversed. T5 can go more than a year, but I overdrive mine and would switch them out around 10-12 months.

A lot depends on their lighting situation - especially if a fan is used. If you use a fan, you should get at least a year from either bulb.
