bulbs built in reflectors ?

UV bulbs with built in reflectors, do you have to use additional reflectors?

never heard of such a thing,,i know that some t-12 and VHO lamps have the built in reflectors but they would be for tanning or industrial use

@spam: The UVL bulbs are a similar concept.

I would recommend additional reflectors, as iirc the reflectors only cover about 40 or 50% of the lamp. They're more of a guide. fwiw, they do a good job but could use a guiding hand. If you're choosing them based solely on the reflectors, I would recommend a set of good reflectors and other bulbs. If you're getting them because they're the bulbs you want (UVLs are good, particularly the Super Actinic - that's their namesake bulb), then I wouldn't hesitate.

Thanks for the response, that's what I thought. I have been using UL -t-12 VHO's without any reflector, work great, just wasn't sure on the t-5's
