Bulk LED Fixture order

I dunno guys I just setup my rapidled onyx fixture with my apex and boy am I glad I went with US company. Service was A+. I had problems and within days had new fixtures at my doorstep and let me tell u controlling the three channels is awesome. Also one thing Iiked over all the others is the fact that I only use 1 power chord per fixture and not 2. Alswith the rapids if you read you get 5 year wrty, 1 year no charge other than shipping, after that it is 70 buck plus shipping.

Onyx are 339 each. I dont want to spend over grand.

Fixture is lacking Blue, Warm, and Neutral white. And....requires apex to dim.

Anyway....... I tried to save us few bucks on these. I see the thread if starting to go other ways.

I dont want to seem like im trying to make $ on this or trying to help out a particular business.

I can assure you, I wasnt. Im out
 
Mike sorry if I derailed just wanted to understand why these were so inexpensive and yet everyone was jumping all over them. I did quite a bit of research and found that cree leds are much better leds than bridgelux...at the same time u are correct about the whites in that the onxy and many others lack the differnt versions, but even when having then cool, neutral, etc there is a drop off in the spectrum anyways. And I think with a large order too that rapid would also give you a disount. Sorry again did not mean to derail, just wanted to understand why the hoopla of the chinese fixtures and everyone jumping in so quickly. Just seen too many lfs jump in only to have their frag tanks bleeched :(
 
No problem, it was not a big enough discount to make it worth it anyway. IMO

I started to read loqix post and it had mods and all kinds of commercial lingo going on.

Maybe that was not the point, the post was entirely too long to read it all.

Its all good.

Mike...just FYI i just got 2 of these fixture local here in Miami...and they look amazing and super bright on my tank. I will post pictures on my build threat in a couple of minutes...

I got them from Carlos (Aqua Brite LED)...the main difference from the one from this thread and the one i got is the included timer. It has the ability to control each module (Blues, whites/red/green and moonlights) with 3 different timers for each module...doesnt have sunrise/sunset mode...and it is manually dimmable.

If anyone needs Carlos phone number please PM me...price is around $215 per fixture...one power cord...and super silent
 
Thanks I like them a lot . . . Can you tell what the spread is on it . .. I have 4' one way and 4' the other way . . . Probably going need 5 either way, 1 for the middle. . . Sending a PM
