Bulk Mysis shrimp and brands

Ive been searching for bulk packs of mysis shrimp, right now i use ocean nutritions cube packs, i beleive they are 7oz and are about $9 here locally, my fish go through that pack in less than 2 weeks, heres my questions

1-why is PE mysis brand sooo expensive?? $28 for 16oz?
2-who sells mysis shrimp in packages larger than 16oz?
3-am i screwed and will just have to order 16oz flatpacks?

PE is more expensive because the crude protein is way higher. Off the top of my head, I think PE is something like 68% compared to most other brands that come in around 10%. In other words, PE is much more nutritional and your fish need a lot less of it to fill up. PE is the best mysis on the market and is well worth the cost IMO.

With that info it really makes me want to switch to pe mysis and i guess a 16oz flatpack should last me over a month so i guess its not that bad at $28
now i have another question
does anybody soak there mysis in selcon?
What does selcon do?
Is it worth soaking mysis in selcon?

Mysis-Feast is also 69.5% protein as a percentage of biomass.

It's a difference in labeling. The frozen PE Mysis product is labeled as 69.5% of biomass (excluding) water. Our Mysis-Feast product is more closely following the recommended FDA labeling rules which require that the bottles list all ingredients as a percentage of total weight, not biomass, and water is a significant portion of both products.

I get PE mysis in 40 oz flat packs from marine depot. Then I dremel those into cubes and store in tupperware in the freezer. Works great. I thaw before feeding, soaking in selcon is excellent but there are other soaks that are equally good. There are various advantages to PE mysis not the least of which is that leopard wrasses like it.

my fish like the pe mysis better then any other frozen i feed. and i have tried everything. just cant get it local so don`t get it as much as i would like due to shipping cost
