Bulk Reef Supply / Two Part Solution Group Buy

I'm gauging interest for signing us up for a Reef Club Group Buy with www.bulkreefsupply.com . To do this, we would need a minimum of 10 people to sign up during a 1 week window. These guys are a great source for carbon, gfo, kalk, ca, alk, and magnesium supplements. Best of all, those that sign up will get their accounts set for permanent price reductions. Meaning, even if you order 1 thing to join the group buy, you would get permanent discounts in the future.

Here is how it works: For one week we upgrade every member of your club who signs up and creates an account with special "Club Wholesale" status. This gives them individual access to the maximum quantity discounts without quantity requirements on all of our bulk material as well as considerable discounts on much of our product line. Each member of the club handles their own order individually. There is no need to organize the order, schedule a pickup/distribution day, and collect payment.

If that isn't enough we offer one more exciting perk: All club members who participate in the group buy will have their accounts upgraded to "Preferred Reefer" status giving them permanent access to discounted prices.

The only requirement to be eligible for this Introductory Reef Club offer is that a minimum of ten club members sign up.

Who's interested?

Sign me up. I got my Reefkeeper 2 from them the best price around. Now looking to by an auto dosing system for 2 part and bulk supplies. THANKS JEFF FOR DOING THIS FOR THE CLUB.

I was looking at the magflake prices and you can get a 50 lb bag for 38 delivered like we did before.

How do the prices compare on calcium and baking soda. Samsclub and costco have some pretty good prices on some of this stuff.

I will be buying magflake soon if anybody needs any. I buy my calcium chloride from penny saver on taft.

I wouldn't buy baking soda, it's cheaper locally, but you can get soda ash (pre-baked baking soda) for $20 for a 14lb. bucket (assuming volume discount). Not sure just how much baking soda that equates too, but it's probably greater than 14lbs. worth. It's probably not the cheapest option for large scale aquaculture operations :D, but to me, it beats putting a batch of baking soda in the oven every 2-3 weeks.

Are you still using Dowflake in your system? Have you followed the concerns about extra bromide in the newer lots? The jury's out on whether this could be harmful over time, but it's being discussed in the chemistry forum.

in for a bunch of kalk
whats needed of us?

Nothing for now. If we have 10+ interested, I'll talk with them and get our group buy started. Everyone would then create accounts on their website to join the group buy, and order as they like.

Jeff,

Does anything on the site count? If so, I'm in - I need some parts and a controller.

Yes, discounts apply to everything. They have a disclaimer that some mfrs set minimum pricing, and they cannot sell below that.

Yo they've got the best prices regardless of any special discount, so I'm in. I'll order something cheap since I'm broke, but I'll use it later down the road too :)

Based on the response, I will try contacting them on Monday to start the group buy.

ninjamini, everyone will place their orders individually, but get credited to the overall group buy. I expect I'll receive a code that everyone uses when they order.
