Bulkheads

Hello All,

I am getting ready to re-plumb my tank and move the sump system out to the garage. The last set of bulkheads that I got from MarineDepot were all junk that ended up leaking on me. Anyway - anyone know where I can get some really high quality bulkheads?

The opening of the holes are 1 3/4" and 1" for the AGA 120 RR tank.

THe schedule 80 bulkheads at the link above are PVC bulkheads as opposed to the basic ABS ones. I've never had the basic ABS ones leak and I had some in service for 10 years. But those PVC ones are high quality and a definite step above the inexpensive ABS bulkheads.

I would also suggest using an aquarium safe silicone sealant between the tank and the bulkhead seal. It's hard to seat them "just right" and this makes sure that you don't have a leak.
