Bully Centropyge

I'm trying to introduce a small Tomini tang into my DT and my Centropyge acanthops just thrashed it. Ripped up it's dorsal and caudal fins and sent it cowering into a corner. I have removed the Tomini back into QT for the time being.. Any ideas on the best way to try a reintroduction?

I am thinking I should try to trap the angel and remove him for a while, but that may be tough.

you can remove the Flameback and put him in the qt for a couple of months...
did you rearrange all your rock before adding the Tang?
then leave lights off for a few days? ime, both those steps help dramatically when introducing new fish...

Yep, if I can't get the flameback out, I may try the mirror trick. I can't really rearrange the rock.

the tank is 60 gallons?
too small for a Tomini...
why cant you rearrange the rock?
a mirror will work temporarily...
but is not a solution...esp if their territories are not messed with....
good luck...
ps if you cant rearrange it...add more...

A tang for a tank that is 24x24 inches?. The Flameback is one of the most pugnacious Centropyge Angels. You may not be able to introduce any new fish into such a small tank with him there.

My Flameback is in the fuge... Little meany was beating the heck out of a small Chevron tang. I'm thinking the Flameback will be in the fuge for a could of months!
