bump/sore on sailfin tang

Hi All, I need some help identifying what this spot is on my juvi desjardini sailfin tang. I did not notice this spot on him while at the LFS, but it became very noticeable when I put him in my QT.

The spot is on his right side lower belly and it almost resembles a whitehead pimp. I've already given him a 5min freshwater bath and will try this again tomorrow.

If this is something that isn't treatable, the LFS said they will take him back, but I've already grown attached to the little guy. Plus he is from the Red Sea and is hard to find these days. Any input is appreciated!

Thank you for the input ThRoewer and tylersarah. With a sad heart I have to report that the poor guy did not make it through the fresh water dip. After the dip he was laying on his belly in the QT and breathing very heavily. In most cases I think fw dips help but this guy was probably too little to withstand the stress.

I would be extremely careful with freshwater dips of juvenile or very small fish. They may just die of shock.

I don't know here, I've dipped a lot of baby fish. While I do agree stress kills, I don't think it's the sole reason the fish died assuming the dip was performed properly. In the first picture it looks like there's parasites on his tail fin, did you notice these? Sorry he didn't make it.
