Burnt tips on SPS

I had a 92 with my lights up to 100 percent with no issue. I changed tanks to a 180 and moved the lights to the new tank and my corals tipped burned. I was told that the clarity of the water improved with more water volume and I also went BB so the lights penetrated the water better which caused the tips to burn. I lowered the intensity of the lights to 60% yesterday but worried about my corals. Everyday Im blowing the algae off and concerned for the health of the corals. Thinking I should clip the burnt tips off to stop the algae growth. Should I do this or just keep basting the corals?

If the tips are growing algae on them, they are dead and I'd clip them off. If your corals are a bit light shocked, dosing Lugol's is supposed to help, just follow the directions very carefully, only need a few drops per week, even on a large system.

Think I found my problem. I had pipes sweating onto my salt and water changing container. I didnt realize it till yesterday when water dripped onto my head when i was about to set up a water change :(

Yeah they are. I did like 4 water changes at 30 gallons a piece with a lid on top of the container along with poly pads and my corals are bouncing back

if your acro do not recover lower your lights. I had that happen to me after water went clearer.
