burnt tips

So I have some burnt tips and things have stabled out. I see some brown algae growing on some of the tips.

Do I clip them?
Do I leave it be and hope the coral regrows over the algae?
Do I leave it for now but clip them if algae progresses?

Thoughts from people who have experienced this and what did you do?

Thanks

Forgot to mention that the tissue lost has stopped for a few weeks now.

i normally leave and monitor them, typically they soon are covered with new growth. if any recession begins, i clip them back.

I clip them if they have algae growing on them. It is just so ugly, I can't help myself. I think a coral can heal over a broken part more easily then regrow over algae spots. Did I say how ugly they can look?

yes i clipped them...they were ugly and i too believe it would be easier for them to regrow clipped vs. algae
