Burst at the Seam

Well today is a sad day. Woke up, made coffee, sat down to wrap presents for my niece. Thought I heard the dog peeing on the floor, which never happens, got up and walked toward the tank and saw this nice stream coming out of the side of the tank. Picture attached.

Need less to say I am super bummed. We sealed the seam externally and it has wedges holding it as well as ratchet straps. This is obviously a just a patch job while I work something else out.

Dose anyone out there have anything available over 200? Tank only?

Had a similar thing happen last year, different tank though. I contacted Crystal Dynamics and they built a new tank for me in about 4 weeks. Some of the best build quality I've seen. Reinforced seams and corners. I'm super happy with the final product.

Otherwise, just plan for the worst. If you've got the leak stopped, I would still recommend getting the most expensive things out of your tank and see if friends or local shops will hold until you get the new tank.

Not a fun journey, but you will make it though.

Thank you!

I will contact them for a quote.

Leak is stopped. I have everything all split around the house. I guess on the bright side I will be able to reaquascape the tank
