Busted!

I just busted my dog drinking my top off water! I don't have an auto topoff system so I leave a 5g bucket next to the tank to fill up before work every day. As I was catching up on posts I heard the dog lapping up some water but I knew the toilet seat was down, I look down the hall and there he is drinking away! Ugh!

Just though I would share =)

I have a bunch of 5 gallon bucket lids I've accumulated. If you need a lid, let me know. It seems like a lid would be good for keeping dust etc. out of the water not even mentioning dog saliva strings.

I did a water change one night and left the 32g brute full of old water sitting beside the tank....

Little bit latter the cat come walking in the room shaking his feet... :D

Curiousity got the best of him and he made the jump...

One of the club members used to have a tank at the bottom of the stairs and his cat would jump from the top landing to the top of the tank and then to the floor so she didn't have to use any steps. One day he had the canopy off. Cat high dive! After that she always used the steps.

LOL. I keep my top-off water in those 5 gallon water cooler jugs. Quite safe from my dog. But I have to lid them when not in use because my cat will actually jump on top of it, dip his paw into the water, and then lick his paw for the water. Bastard! This cat for some reason doesn't like to drink water from his dish (yes I do clean his dish). He gets his water from the dog's dish and other odd places. He'll even try and sneak into the bathroom after someone has taken a shower just to get the water dripping from the faucet... I don't understand the behavior here.
