Butterfly Fish

Is anyone here successfully keeping a butterfly fish in your reef tank?

While individual fish may be reef safe for a while, to my knowledge there is no such thing as a consistently reef safe butterfly fish. If you find one, please let me know.

I have a copperband that has been a model citizen for about 6-8 months now. He ate all my aptasia and feather dusters but hasn't touched any of my corals. But I've heard stories of how they can go rogue.

i keep a copperband in a 135. He/she has been in there for over a year now.

i have no softies and aptasia; its SPS dominate tank with a clam. I heard that they do pick on clams, are they?
