Butterfly

I have a 65 mixed reef with lots of spaghetti and bristle worms. I wanted to add either a copperband or longnose butterfly to my tank because A) I like both these fish and B)I would like to keep these populations in check because I like to feed heavily.

Anyone have experience or thoughts on this?

I think your 65 is about half the size either of these fish need. YLN are much easier than they look; but really need room, they can reach 9" or so. CBBs are difficult, quite wussy and REALLY need space. Read what LA has to say about space requirements. A CBB will eat all of the spaghetti worms. All. Never saw mine eat a bristleworm, ever. And my bristleworms weren't bashful.

A CBB is a beautiful fish though. Will control your aiptasia too.

I agree with MT... not great for a 65g.

Thanks for all the info. I didn't realize that CBB or Longnose needed a tank that big.
