in what order would you add these fish;

Bluestrip BF
Racoon BF Milletseed BF
Pyramid BF
Longnose BF
Auriga,
Reticulated BF
Saddleback

Thanks

Reticulated has poor record in captivity
auriga can be agressive

All the others shoud be ok together as long as the tank is big enough FOWLR.

Agreed.

I've also read that bluestripes (fremblii) can sometimes be difficult to keep, but I have no personal experience. A long QT will help with getting your fish eating really well before moving into the DT.

Like SDguy mentioned the frembelii can be difficult getting it to accept prepared foods. Auriga bf are all aggressive and that only gets worse with size

Do you also have experience with auriga?
I've tried one that was bad, I keep wanting to try another but haven't since I've only read about their agression. I know SDguys was also agressive
But not too many people keep them so the sample size is small.

Yes I had one that was mean as could be and my buddy has one in his 250g that is very aggressive also and it's still relatively small (3") it's especially aggressive toward new additions and the cream tail angel in the tank. The cream tail is also fairly aggressive for such a small angel

Thanks, I love when people share their experiences for others to learn from.

punctatofasciatus, xanthurus, mertensii are nice small choices to consider.

Feeding question, has anyone had their butterflies eat majono nems. And do you think they would be a good food source. I can grow these like crazy.

I kept an auriga for about three years before I had a hydrogen sulfide accident (deep sand beds = bad IMO). I never had any problem with aggression, other than an very rare one or two second chase. Other tank members were a true falcula, a semiauricularis butterfly, a lemon butterfly, couple of clownfish, and several dwarf angels. BUT no coral!!!

Yup, my auriga was VERY aggressive to other butterflies. I don't own one now because of that.

Sure, likely most BF's will eat majanos.
