Butterfly's and Flukes

My Pearlscale has been in QT for about 3 weeks now. Is it necessary to treat for flukes. The fish looks great and eats everything.

Do a FW dip in a clear container and see if flukes fall off.

Personally I treat all fish now with Prazipro for flukes and internal parasites.

Prazi-Pro for all butterflies and Angels is a must. Most if not all come in with Fluke these days. You need back to back (2 weeks) of consistent treatment to ensure the flukes and any eggs are destroyed.

Jason,

Thanks for the advice. When you say two weeks, is this 2 weeks continuous or 1 week, water change, then another application. I have a raccoon and 2 bannerfish that are in QT. I dipped this past weekend and all 3 had flukes. i applied the first application of PraziPro tonight.

I do a 50% water change and the redose for another 5-7 days. I should have been clearer on that, sorry.

Thanks Jason. I plan to follow your method. Both the heniochus and the raccoon are doing fine this morning after the first application. All three are in a 75g QT, as I did not have enough tanks to QT each separately. I actually bought them at the same time from the same LFS, so they are used to being together.
