Button Polyp Question

Ok my button polyps have been looking strange lately. They are open but the normally frilly edges are curled up...so basically you can see the polyps but the edges are not fully extended. I have 4 different colonies all over my tank and they all are doing the same thing. Does anyone have an explination?

what have you done differnt this week?

i feed mine, when i feed fish i feed over button polyps they grab what is left, then the hermits get the rest.
