buy_baff build thread

dude!! sweet build, love your colonies! I gotta get me a few of those frags! you got any time this week? let me know if your planning on being in IC anytime soon! Although I'd like to come down and check it out. I don't see me having that type of time though!

Those are some nice looking corals. What do you think of those mp40s I was thinking about getting one or two in the group buy.

I have only had them for a week or two and they are not in use full time yet. but the test run blew me away! I have no regrets on buying them. plus we all know they hold there resale value very well. I would say get them if you can aford them hek I can't afford them but stil got them!

I'm going to start posting the pics and stuff here to. I got the t5s put in the canopy last night and the pendents hung. I also got about half the rock in the tank. I kept the rocks off the glass on all sides and used all larges pieces for the bottum galf of the rock. I don't want to deal with rock slides like in the past. i have some realy nice bali rock to finish it off with but it is still cooking.

should have enough water in the tank tonight to play with the new mp40s some more:celeb2: my ro unit is verry slow because it is hooked up to cold water and bad preasure. it is supose to be 50gal a day but is more like 12gal. So it is slow going I should have it filled up and runing my friday.

You're making my tank look dim with your over exposure shots bill!!!! lol Those Lumen Brights are pretty nice though.

I'm glad to see you hung them high. They say Lumen Brigts are made to be hung 12" or more. Whereas the Lumenarcs are made for 6-8" Good thing too becase I didn't take that into account when building my canopy!

ltz,

Isn't he what they call an orange shoulder tang?

Watch out for those firefish they like to jump like hell!

Sweet! I have an excellent eye for tangs, but every once in a while something throws me off. I've seen mimics before. They have the same shape and face structure. They're both in the acanthurus genus.

Whoa dude! freaking nice! I'm liking the aquascaping big time. Really looks super nice, with alot of spots for placing new things! Is that tricolor valida on the right top? And millepora in the front and just right of center? I have milliepora like that, you didn't get a piece of it from me did you? Mine has got a green sub structure to it, and mauve polyps that whisp from it.

I am thinking of switching to 20k Radium 250's. I'm not satisfied with the current white balance. I wanted something a little more blue, it's pulling out colors for sure, but I wanted a crisper overall appearance. Plus going from 400's to 250's is going to save me about 155 bucks a year, and especially with reflectors like these, there's no reason to do more than 250's over a 24" deep tank.

I would like to see those LumenBrights up close!

Thanks I love the scape as well. I kepted the rocks off the glass on all sides so I would have good flow. And I used all large rocks so no more rock slides. Yea that's my tricolor. I love the shape of the colony. It is growing much faster under the new lights. It has white groth tips and it has never had those before. Yea thats the milli I got from you about a year or so ago. Mine is purple with blue groth tips. Your going to have to come down sometime this summer and check out the set-up in person.
