so, a couple of days ago i noticed false perc clown about 2" long had a little piece of his left fin missing and had some white spots on that fin and also on the body just behind the fin, i tryed to search for what i could be and couldn't find anything on it, this morning i woke up and he was there swimming i gave him some food he ate it and all, when my wife woke up he was dead and the coral banded shrimp were going at him already, any idea what could've happened? he was really healthy before.

Sorry for the loss.

Not alot of information to go on, but a torn fin and spots do not add up to healthy.

Shrimp are opportunistic, if the fish is weak enough to catch, it is a meal.

well the one spot on the side looked like it was hit by something and so was the fins, seems like something bite it, but there is nothing in the tank to have bitten him

ok i think there is gotta be some kind of bacterial infection cause my starfish just died also, i went to look and it had a "white" wound on its bottom, is there anyway to find out if there really is a bacteria in there ? What can i do????? Please Help!
