Tomorrow I pick up one of my most sought after fairy wrasses.
Thanks to Pacific Island Aquatics, This beautiful wrasse will join my others tomorrow.

Thanks Steve. You have a pair don't you? How long have you owned them? If I remember correctly, Brian Green got your pair for you. I figured he caught these 2 also, but P.I.A. said he did not catch these 2.

Congrats Brad! This is one sweet species... your fish were amongst the first ever documented from Majuro Atoll in the Marshall Islands... the collector that got yours did not know what they were as they had never been seen there before... the ones Steve got years ago were collected by Brian Greene at Kwajalein Atoll also in the Marshalls but hundreds of miles away... Jim's were collected by a Japanese collector in Palau and brought back to Japan... then shipped through Koji Wada through Hawaii... Koji shipped another group after Jim's when I was on Oahu last year in October and I was there to accept the box with my friend on Oahu... I can post pics of those beauties tonight... have you guys scrutinized photos of Jim's and the Marshall's specimens to see if there are differences? As we all know regional variation is pretty common with Cirrhilabrus...

Again congrats! Those are two friggin' stud males that PIA got! Let's hope that they could get a few mates down the road...

We definetly need to compare since they are from different areas, at first glance Brad's appear to be more purple in the face area but its hard to tell since pics can sometimes look different based on the person taking the pic. I know Tony Vargas will see Brads this upcoming week and then he come to see mine the following week so maybe we can get some comparison photos by the same person and camera to see if we can see differences. Georgous fish your getting Brad!

Thanks John. I think I'm still in shock. Being able to get one of these magnificant fish is still unbelievable in my mind. But the fact that he is now in my tank is overwhelming. He is a lot larger than I pictured, at least 3 - 3 1/2 inches in size. Jim, I'm still shaking, LOL
Here are the first pics of him after acclimation, and is now in my A/box.

Amazing Brad... out of curiosity what temp does your system run? Remember these guys are found cool and DEEP... also you may want to throw in a piece of PVC for the earlei to duck into to relax perhaps...

John

Right now my tank temp is 75.9 It will go up during the day to 77-78 but no higher.
I usually do have a pvc elbow in there, but I wanted to make sure he was doing fine before I add it back in.
He just took some hikari mysis right out of my hand. UNbelievable. LOL

Congrats Brad! Another beautiful specimen in your amazing collection. Some of you fish freaks make me green with envy :)

Brad are you planning on getting any females for him?

Those of you waiting on more earlei may not have to wait long... ;)
