Wow...I have been tinkering with the idea of wrasses in my new upgrade and seeing these makes me know I am headed down the right path! Beautiful fish!

Well it's now almost 4pm and I am off work. Longest 4 hrs to get past.

Here is a pic that we can compare.

I think the main difference is one is a terminal male (Brads). the 2 that we got in are were outstanding... Not saying Jim's isn't.. :)

I dont think it has much to do with location... they are all found at similar depths (very very similar)..

All of them are beautiful wrasses!

Awesome picture brad!

The coloration looks more similar in the video than the pic, maybe you should come to nebraska and take a pic ;). Glad to see him doing well. Are the others being nice? When do you plan to release to general population? If your like me every day I walk up to my tank or every time I walk past it I make sure to see certain fish swimming about and if at first glance I don't see them I must stop til I do. Now you have Bellae and Earlei to drool over. Nice.

nice to see more of these being smuggled out of palau where zero wild collection is allowed

Joetbs - before you jump conclusions, please do some research and know where they were actually collected.

the one to hit Japan a few weeks back and the 2 we received are NOT from Palua...

This is how rumors start... Know what you are talking about before you post wrong information in a thread.

If brian collected them in MI that is one thing and should be advertised as such but the majority are not. I know exactly who is collecting them in palau and have a copy of the permit on my desktop which is a scientific permit. To collect gobies. In a stream/lake. Not for live reef fish. I spent nearly a month in koror last summer and know more than most people do on this subject. All of the ones coming through japan though are poached.

Joe, Brian has not collected earlei in a while... the ones PIA got are from Majuro where the species has been found now and did not go through Japan. Majuro has also shipped these to Japan, so not all those in Japan are from Palau. Also, now that Majuro has found them the Palauan ones may still get to Japan but will not be shipped on from there...

The one recently from Japan are from Majuro, the 2 we got are from Majuro...

again, dont jump to conclusions and assume these are illegal, 100% legal... As well as the pair we just got in yesterday from Majuro....
