^. Is there a big difference in the chances of either of them going sexual on me? What are their preferences(lighting, substrate, nutrients, etc.)? I love the idea of a fake seagrass bed (Prolifera) to house a pair of banggai cardinalfish, but I also like the idea of a "palm tree forest" (paspaloides) that I could see a pair of barbershop pole gobies darting through.
Current substrate: mixed, ranging from pieces of aragonite (20-30 mm) to sugar-size grains.
Nutrients: High nutrient load probably (I haven't tested in a while).
Lighting: LED fixture (14000K single fixture from BML, currently at 50% capacity.
Area: about a quarter of the tank length (1 foot by 18 inches I think), separated by a barrier of shelf rock.
