Got this ca reactor as part of a new to me tank today. Is this way to big for a 75 gallon tank? I know its missing some parts but looks like it will be worth messing with. What is the point of the double chamber? Its about 22 inches tall and each tube is 4" diameter.

I'd say it's pretty big. The bigger reactors seem to be a bit harder to dial in but thats just what i've heard. The second chamber helps keep the effluent ph levels stable and on the higher side.

That reactor will work fine for you, what are you keeping mainly? You can adjust rates to meet you tanks needs.
Looks like a regulator, feed pump, and monitor/controler is whats missing. It shuold work great , good luck

You could probably only use the one chamber for your 75. Just don't run the line from one chamber to the other run it into your sump. If you ever get a larger tank then you can use both chambers.

It looks like the one we made at a club workshop several years ago. We made only the first chamber but learned how to add the second one if we wanted. The purpose of the second chamber is to utilize the CO2 that is in the effluent to disolve more media and help reduce the amount that is going out to the tank. I have ran the reactor both ways on a 55 gallon and either way will be fine. Once the reactor is dialed in to your system it should be pretty much set and forget. The important thing to remember is to get your tank Alk and Calcium levels to where you want them before you start to dial in your reactor otherwise your kinda chasing you tail. HTH
