The effluent needle valve on my ca reactor requires constant attention. It will go good for a few days then it all the sudden just slows down or stops. Any one else have these types of problems.
Ya, mine was doing that exact thing...Salty sells a precise needle valve you can replace it with. Your bubble counter on your regulator is eliminated though. You may have another counter on your reactor though.
If you are using the bubble counter on the regulator that is half the problem. The other half is the pressure from the Co2 exceeds the amount of pressure your feed pump is able to supply so once it equalizes the flow stops. Do you see a gas bubble in the top of the reactor? if you do then that's what is happening. The reason the regulator mounted bubble counters are bad is because your needle valve is seeing water and so is the solenoid. On mine i have a needle valve directly on the solenoid then my line goes to an external bubble counter (filled it with RO 3 yrs ago) then to a checkvalve and finally into the recirc plumbing of the reactor. I feed mine with a MJ1200. I control the effluent with a JG inline valve and also one on the output of the MJ1200. If ya can't get it solved TJ give me a yell. Erik if you want let me take a look at it, and see if i can't get yours squared away also.
