Cabbage leather placement

Hello everyone! I recently purchased a small cabbage leather coral for my 65g tank. The tank has 2x 150 watt Halides and i'm wondering about placement. I have a spot in mind that is 1/3 of the way up in the tank. What is the recommended flow/ light level? I've read a few sites that say high to med flow and same for light. What is everyone's personal experience with this leather?

It should be fine anywhere in the tank with that lighting. I'd start somewhere towards the bottom in a higher flow area and go from there. Pretty durable coral. Easy to frag also.

I guess i'm still trying to figure out what constitutes "high" flow. right now i have it in a spot that is " moderate" by my standards and its polyps are all extended. I'm hoping that's a good thing... I really want to pick up a koralia 3 for this tank, maybe i will. I'll keep an eye on it and see how it does. thanks!

Place them high in the tank, they like light=]
Also put them in med to high flow, the high flow helps them out when they're sheding.

they need light and flow for cleaning them from mucus/slime .... mine are growing nice close to MH's and not so great on the bottom .... make sure you are running carbon with them ....chemical war .......and make sure there is a lot of room around - they can grow very quick

I run carbon all the time in my sump as a just in case. Right now its 2/3 of the way down in my tank and looks pretty good. It's a little more pale than i'd like, but its open and polyps are all extended. Unfortunately i can't remember the exact color it was when i got it....

It won't matter, place them anywhere and they'll take over your tank.

i have one i moved a lot the first few days, maybe like 5 times in 7 days. damn crabs It hasnt really fully opened in 10 days., but i hear its easy coral to keep. all my other corals are open Yesterday it started to slim a little. so hopefully its on it way back. should i take the slime out with a siphon.

I have them on top of rocks and in good flow, but under led lighting.

so basically just cut a piece off and tie down and the new piece will grow that simple. then why the hell was my piece 70 bucks, lol

na its like that here too...so if i sold what i have with their prices id be rich...lol..i think its better to trade and sell locally thru like reef groups..way better prices and deals...
