Here are some pics of my newest additions. I rescued these from a couple stores I went to that weren't really feeding them. When I found them their tissue was sucked all the way in and their mouths were open in a sickly way. But I have been feeding them and they have gotten a lot better. I got these about a month ago so they have made a lot of progress since then. They seem to heal quickly.

I might have to let the last two go because I don't have much room in my tank.

Also I found this interesting, the little on in the last picture had a broken piece of skeleton inside that was sort of wiggling around. I was worried about it causing an infection and I was hoping it would re-fuse with the rest of the skeleton but instead it seems that he is expelling it out of his body. I had never heard of this behavior before so I thought I wold make note of it. Here is a picture to illustrate.

You can see it in the lower left corner of it's body. Pretty neat if you ask me.

Oh hmm I wish they didn't start a new page with the previous post since the post before that had all the cool rhizo pics. Hmm.

No Sh!t these are cool pics.. sorry if this is noob but are those NPS?

Hey Richard, I finally got my cadlights 50g up and running. It is cycling now. I will post pictures when live stocks are in place.

where you find those rhizo's at richard? if you do decide to let one go lmk, i've got a few other NPS bits i could trade you.. :)

I don't really want to disclose where I got them from since the people at the stores were nice people and I don't want to put any blame on them. It was weird though because they knew that they needed to be feed but they didn't seem to feed them directly much. Also they said they wouldn't be getting any more since there wasn't enough of a demand for them. They seemed kind of surprised that I wanted to buy them actually. Makes sense I guess, considering how much they are.

I am thinking about letting a couple of these go because my tank is a bit too full right now. So I am not really interested in trades right now. Just out of curiosity what NPS were you thinking about trading?

Hi Richard, what light bulb do u use for your refugium? Thx.

So here's a picture of my sump. As you can see the refugium is packed. Also the skimmer is growing a lot of coralline algae on it so I have to find some black acrylic to shade it. But the algae isn't really affecting the performance.

And here is a upclose shot of the skimmer. You can see some bubbles coming out but it's not much and none of it gets to the tank because of the baffles. Also the bubbles area result of the output of the pump which is tremendous. I am really impressed with these atman pumps. I had really wanted a sicce but after seeing this pump work I am no longer envious of sicce powered skimmers.

Thanks Blinding Reef and Reevo! I really do love my rhizos. They almost seem to have a personality. I like how when I have my hands in my tank sometimes I accidentally touch them and they cling on to me. I know they are just trying to eat me but it almost feels like a hug.:frog:

Here is a picture of one of my rhizos eating. The piece of silverside I gave it was a bit too large but he managed to get it down.
