Cadlights aquariums

Has anybody else recently placed an order for an Artisan series aquarium or anything from Cadlights? I'm currently following 2 threads and their experience with Cadlights. I've read that they encountered a few issues with their orders. I ordered a 70 gallon Artisan series that was supposed to ship last Thursday and I haven't received anything confirming that is was shipped.

What are your experiences with Cadlights?
 
I read one of the threads you're referencing and gotta say I'd be Leary of them too. the artisan series is sweet looking though. keep us updated please. I'd love to have the 70 or maybe the 50L if I could order with corner overflow.

As far a them custom making a tank for you with a corner overflow, the person on one of the threads I'm following ordered his tank that way from Cadlights.

I Got in touch with them. It turns out that since they just finished production of the Artisan II series, that is what they are going to send me instead. From a customer service standpoint as far as items, I think that is AWESOME! Could they have let me know that there was going to be a delay in shipping since they decided to wait and send me the II series, sure. My order is supposed to ship later today or tomorrow, so I was told :hmm6:
 
I ordered from them twice. Both thru a local dealer. The first one were a few weeks late. The second from a diff dealer and it was over a month late. (out of glass lol)
 
that is great news. can you direct me to the corner overflow tank thread? the thread I thought you were mentioning was a tank with a rear-center overflow and they drilled the holes odd sizes making it hard for him to get the right fittings to make everything work.
 
Well, It's the next morning now and I didn't receive a shipping confirmation yet. So according to what I was told, I should receive confirmation today...:spin2:

When did you place your orders? From what I read, it seems like their service started changing within the last year or so when they started going bigger.

Running out of glass is like Burger King running out of burgers!:lmao:
 
Update on my experience with Cadlights:

I spoke with Eddie today and asked for an update on my order status. He said it shipped yesterday and it's on the way. I asked why I didn't receive confirmation and I was told that they were concentrating on sending out orders and then sending confirmation/tracking info. the next day. With that said, I then asked for my tracking # which he provided. He then apologized for the delay again and reassured me that it was due to them switching out recent orders with the artisan II series. Also, he told me it WAS going to ship this passed Monday but when they double checked my order, they noticed that it was missing the glass cover that I asked them to make for me. Thank goodness!

So far, despite the 1 week delay, with Cadlights automatically upgrading me to the Artisan II series and finding out my custom glass cover was missing before they shipped my order, I am very pleased! Yes, some of my emails were never returned and I had to call 3X before getting Eddie or the lady working there also(didn't catch the name), but when I did get Eddie, he answered every question that I had while being patient, professional, and enthusiastic. To me, he always seems excited to talk about their products.

Everything is scheduled to arrive on 03/26 and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I spoke with fedex to arrange delivery and asked if a note can be made that it is glass and very fragile and to handle with care. I see soon enough if they listened...

My tank arrived and nothing was broken!!! Something was missing but not a big deal. I ordered a glass cover for my tank and the clips to hold it were missing. I spoke with Eddie and they ordered them but haven't received them yet. I'm going to give him a call in a couple days to see if they have them and remind him to send me some.

Over all, I am very happy with Cadlights. The tank looks awesome as everyone assured me it was. I really like the look of the white stand but the front end of could use some bracing. Since it's open, I can move it side to side a little bit. Any have any ideas on how I can brace it? It not solid wood like pine or anything. I think it's particle board that has been professionally painted and the way the stand is put together is exactly like IKEA furniture.

Ordered through a distributor in February and got it sometimes march. The dealer placed the order in January.
