Cal reactors

Those who are running cal reactors, which ones are you using. I'm looking into getting one soon need pros and cons of different manufactures

I just got a Bubble Magus and i like it but there is a unique feature that I altered. It has a air/CO2 recirculation tube that goes from the top of the canister to the intake of the pump. After a lot of air/Co2 collected at the top it was constantly making air chopping noises, so I switched it for the return line and it and it just releases in with the out going water.

CA Reactors are nice, just make sure you really need one. Seems this is one of the most misused pieces of equipment in this hobby. A lot of people get them because they look cool when they really don't need that level of Cal production.

My 2 cents.

Like Mark said, the RO reactor that Adam has is one of the best AND he has a high end regulator on it which a CA reactor should never be without!

Good luck!

Come on Phill, you know they add much more than just calcium to a tank...oh ya and they do look cool. :)

+2 on Adams system....

My alk and cal dropped way off when I started adding acros and more sps pieces I'm tired of dosing kalk and basic 2 part

Thanks for everyone's input, now it's time to convince the wife to let me make this big investment, even tho as we all know the whole hobby is a giant investment
