I have always noticed people wanting to chase calcium and make it high. I had a friend who did his thesis on alkalinity. Different tanks calcium 350 vs 450+ alk 2.8 DKH vs 6DKH. Calcium 350 alk 6 DKH grew 13 times faster. Yes there are many more elements to consider. What is you balanced cal number? I chose 430ppm.
