i just bough a calcium dispenser the instructions show the dispenser inside the water container
does it have to be in side the container?
can i put it out side the water container ?

It needs to be inside the container, the reason being that the tubing will harden over time and is likely to pop off, kalk causes the plastic to become brittle and this is an important safety.
This would be dangerous for the same reason, if the hose were to pop off, a lot of kalkwasser would be added to the system and could cause a dangerous rise in pH.
