Calcium dispenser question

Hello,
Just got my osmolator with the calcium dispenser and container hooked up. I am amazed at the sensitivity of the sensor and all seems to be well. My only problem is determining the proper amount of kalk to add. I tried I tbsn first and towards the end of the bucket the remaining kalk was pushed to one side and didn't seem to be getting mixed with the effluent well, at least my pH probe did not indicate that it was. Next I tried 2 tbsns and it seems to be more consistent but still not what I would like. Of course next I will try 3 but was wondering if there was any trick I needed to know(besides shaking it every day). The sensor and output are in a ~4 gallon section of my sump and the bucket empties every 3 days or so(lots of fans). The unit is on a 90 gallon sps tank.
thanks, Chris

How big is the bucket? I think 2 Tbsp is enough. It would seem normal for the strength to drop toward the end and isn't a big deal.

It's the ~7 gallon(27L) bucket Tunze provides. I'll go with 2 tbsp for a while and see how it does. I'm, of course, wanting to keep the pH as stable as possible so I thought I would ask.
thanks, Chris

pH stability is largely a function of flow and KH. Kalk provides for stability by neutralizing excess CO2 and raising KH, it doesn't take much to accomplish this.

Wow! you're fast. I realise that. I just figured a steady dose would be better:)
thanks again for your help,
Chris
