Found a product in a club forum that can be used as the calcium portion of my 2 part solution. It's called calcium hardness increasor sold by suncoast pool products. My only concern is it contains 1-2 % sodium chloride (salt) and 2-3% potassium chloride according to the msds sheet. Are there any concerns win using this for my 2-part solution?

Lots of people are using driveway de-icer which has the same impurities listed. That said I can't say whether it is reef safe or not, only that the sodium and potassium isn't likely to be much of a problem.

Statistically, most of these products seem fine. It takes a lot of expensive testing to be sure about a specific brand, though. The potassium level should be fine.

For the others that live in fl this is much cheaper than ordering a gallon online for 20$ plus shipping online. Instead u can get it for basically a dollar a pound at any pool store
