Calcium is a Bit High

My calcium aways reads between 540 - 560 using an API test kit. The tank is about 5 months old I have a few LPS and softies, should I be concerned?

Verify the calcium level with another kit if you know someone who has one. I like Salifert kits myself. Check alkalinity and Magnesium if Calcium is really so high. Did you do anything to make it so high? Extremely elevated levels of any major element in your total alkalinity has an adverse effect on the others. What is your pH? Calcium is best at 400 to 450 ppm although some folks go higher, Magnesium at 1.025 SG should be about 1200 ppm, alaklinity should be 8 to 12 degrees (german scale).

yeah, check your Alkalinity. When Calcium is sky high Alkalinity is usually low. Raising your alkalinity will usually cause your Calcium to drop on its own.
