Calcium reactor effluent numbers?

I don't know the best sources of dolomite. Some folks get it from aquarium supply places, or even some garden supply stores.

I am guessing you add a teaspoon or two of dolomite and see how your mag levels do over time to decide if you need more or less with the next media change?

Folks might typically add 5-10% of the reactor media and see what that does for maintaining (not raising) magnesium levels.

Thanks for the reference. It was quite informative on this subject. My magnesium has been maintained fairly consistently with ESV magnesium supplementation. I think I will add the dolomite at my next media change and see how it goes. The concept of maintenance without adding supplements sounds very good to me.
