Calcium Reactor help needed

Hey guys
Need some help here getting really bummed out with the noise of my reactor :-(

Basically I changed out my old style BM reactor for the new CR150 type one.
I think I have connected it all up right, looks the same as the diagram from what I can tell.
60bmp and 50ml effluent, I run manually no ph controller.
My issue is that it was ok yesterday when I set it up.
Today it's very noisy just has chsshhhh noise of air in it, tons of air bubbles rising up from the bottom
Not sure if I was running to much gas and it's trapped inside.
Effluent was high and the Alk hadn't changed in 24hrs, but wondering if the issue is that somethings in the wrong place or this reactor doesn't need as much gas and it's got too much in?

Sounds like too much CO2. Can you bled off the excess and turn the CO2 down?

Either that or it's pulling in air.

I turned off the gas and circulation pump, banged it up and down a few times, loads of air / gas in it
Left it a while
When I put the circulation pump back on loads bubbles came up again.
It's not as loud but still sit in it. What could cause it to suck air in?

Check very carefully the intake side of the pump for a pinhole leak pulling in air.

Back in the day, I used to find vacuum leaks on cars by putting a piece of tubing in my ear and moving the other end where I suspected the vacuum leak. IDK if a pinhole leak would pull enough air to be audible though...

Since my last post I have slowed the flow more and knocked gas down to 25 bubbles

Am I right in thinking that as long as I measure my Alk and it doesn't move in 24hrs I can buffer it up higher over the next few days and it should stay at what ever I buffer it too?

With a calcium reactor, the ratio between alk and calcium is consistent, as long as you don't change water or dose. In other words, if your alk goes up or down, so will your calcium.

I'd shoot for NSW levels.

I've released all gas out of it and done anything I can think

In fact it had so little gas that the reading coming out was too low.
Ive increased to 40 bpm 60 drops effluent, now it's full of gas and loud again?

Turn the gas off and purge the unit of all gas. Leave the BPM alone for now. Then, let it run for a day to see if you are pulling in air. If you're not pulling in air, start with a small bpm count, maybe 5, and work your way up from there. Wait 24 hours between any changes.

Trouble I have is tank is full of coral including acros so turning the gas on my Alk is swinging all over the place
I'll strip it down and check everything seems air tight first
