calcium reactor kr2 feedback

hey Tom, see you're having the same problem I am getting feeback on cal reactors. bummer, did you buy it? I did a search on RC and looked into the vendor forums but still not gotten what I need. Never heard of the kr2 so can't say. My searching has gotten more positve for GEO brand 618,624 and negative for Koralin. if that's any help. yes I want one automated on my tank also. 90gal. good luck ,Robert

I'm probably going with a GEO 618, since more people speak about it is really more "set and forget it" also it keeps up the alk better that some others. My LFS also recommended it.

The geo is probaly a good bet. I did get a one year old k2r(rated to 450gallons) with eheim pump and regulator with solenoid. I picked it up off ebay for $190. Not hooked up yet but looks pretty good and simple.It retails around $350 plus another $100 for the regulator. At that price it will work fine. I plan to continue kwater dosing along with it on a more limited basis than now. Since,there are benefits from the calcium hydroxide I don't want to give up.
