im in the process of setting up a 40 gallon and saw this cheap calcium reactor
its the acrocal calcium reactor from via aqua.
i saw one in person, its very tiny and rated up to a 75 so it should be just fine for a stocked 40.
has anyone ever used it or know anything about it. i opened the box and it seems to be decent for the price and size.
it needs to be fed externally but it has a small recirculating pump built in and a small venturi to diffuse the incoming co2.
one question i do have is this. i have seen quite a few styles of calcium reactors some of which have air vents to release built up co2 gas. like a koralin and some others this reactor has both a air vent and a effluent output. would it be ok to tee those two lines together and have them both go into the effluent cup?
