Can someone explain to me what a Calcium Reactor does for the tank?

supplies calcium for corals when there is a high demand for it or you want to keep your calcium at very high levels and it would cost too much dosing with a calcium supplement.

Thanks Capn. Does it do anything for Alkalinity levels?

Calcium and Alkalinity are tied together. When you raise your calcium levels, your alkalinity will go up as well.
