calcium too high?

Is it possible to have too much calcium? My calcium tests are routinely off the charts. So far it hasn't appeared to be an issue, but I was just wondering. And by off the charts I mean 600+

And yes, I've tested multiple times. It's not always that high but we are on a well and our water has a naturally high calcium level.

It could. I know with a well you have water pressure issues for a ro/di system. You might talk to somebody in reef chemistry about the situation: bertoni is busy for a while, but disk1 would be able to help.

If nothing else you will need to clean your pump impellers much more frequently as you are going to have calcium deposits form quickly. I would think that your sand would also clump up due to calcium precipitation.

Have you tested your freshly mixed salt water before you put it into the tank?
Also what brand of salt are you using?
Are you dosing cal? (or any other dosing)
What is alk/mag readings?

Are you using RO/DI or straight tap water?
