Calfo event

I'm going. I think Tony and maybe Chris are going too, but I'll let them chime in if they definitely are. I'm up for car pooling. I'd say the less people driving, the better. We have to keep some trunk space available for all those frags we're going to win in the raffle and auction!
 
I know Chris and Tony are going....I am already carpooling with them (and Linda)......I am not the one driving, that is why I didn't say something before....not sure how much room there is.

I have a extended mini van. If there is room at the workshop Tom wanted to go but didn't want to take up a space from a hardcore fish/reef geek. Could we meet somewhere and have my van and another car? (If Tom isn't going I can fit 7 - two front, middle has 2 bucket seats and the back is a bench for 3 - it would be a snug ride)

Let me know what you all think.

Glad to see a bunch of you guys coming down! We'll have to talk about doing a joint club meet/frag swap one of these days.

BTW Linda, there are still 30 spots available so please don't hesitate to add Tom to the list. It seems that there aren't quite as many hardcore fish/reef geeks in the area as we thought, or at least not as many willing to drive a bit. That's okay though. It just means a better opportunity to win frags and prizes for everyone that "does" come!

Personally, I don't care for the "snug ride" effect...especially if I happen to be the one stuck in the last seat of the third bench in a van for a two hour drive...NO thank you! :hmm3:

Sorry, but thats just me....if you've ever been prone to panic attacks, then you know what I'm talking about!
 
FYI.. There is a pretty good LFS about 5 min from where were having the event.. So it would be worth stopping in on the way home.
He will probably have lots of fish and corals on hand knowing were doing the event.
fish topia is the name of the store.
 
Great......I'm going to have to take out a small loan between the raffle, auction, and now FS! Hehe. :lol:

Seriously though, I'm sure some of us wouldn't mind stopping by the FS. Anyone know where it is or better yet can provide directions to it?

I can pick you up at exit 23 if you want - kinda insane to have a person per car ( no charge, have to drive anyway ).
 
There are 8 of us...how about 4 in each car?....I will switch to the Sable....I don't want the mom-mobile either :-( (but it is handy to pick up tanks and live rock with!)

really doesn't matter to me...I just want to see Mr. Calfo again.

Brian was thinking about exit 23 too. He will be dropping me off that morning and that is where I get the bus when nyra takes us down to Belmont.

Now we just have to figure out what time we want to meet. Sounds like we are going to have fun! And best of all I will have a day away from the kids....I love them, but sometimes it is nice to get away!

I don't know exactly how long it takes to get there - maybe 90 mintues or so? Anyone?

If so, meeting 8:30 at Exit 23? Someone better give me a wake up call - I'll be at a wedding Friday night until early morning!!!!

Me, Tom, and Keith are meeting at exit 21 (park and ride). We are still working on a time...but it looks like around 8am. (21 works better for us because we would have to drive up to Albany get to exit 23)

And so far Chris, Tony and Ken are meeting at exit 23...I'm not sure of their time.

Robin - it sounded like Brian could drop you off somewhere to join a group of us - which exit is better for you?

Rainer - since Robin needs to be dropped off could you join the group she doesn't pick?
