Cali-style

Hey guys I'm going to be visiting in alb's in the middle of August and just wanted to know what saltwater stores you guys recommend. I was stationed there a few years ago and just coming back to visit some friends. I would totally be down to bring frags and trade but i don't think i will be able to get them on the plane. All recommendations are welcomed thanks.

Southwest reef is awesome, but pricey, down on Menaul between carlisle and university. Other good one is the Petco on the westside coors and old airport road. I have heard that the clarks on menaul and the one on lomas is good also, but i never get over to that side of town.

Cool, Southwest reef, I think i might have been there, before i left 2 years ago. The place i'm talking about had just opened. What about coral island aquariums. Can't wait to see the selection out there. Kind of curious whats common corals in alb's. Amongst all you reefers. Anyways any other local fav's.

SW reef moved to the other end of that same strip mall to a bigger space.

Coral Island closed a while back.

both Clarks are decent.. old tanks showing their age and occasional lack of maintenance, but are well stocked.

Haven't been to PetCo.

Last visit to Fins and Critters was a disappointment. They had like 3 clowns and a tang spread out among 6 so tanks... no corals.

SWRC has a good assortment of corals. Lots of LPS, mushrooms, softies, a few SPS. They have a BUNCH of different brains right now.

I visited the Coors and Old Airport Petco today since I was in that area anyway. The fish were not in good shape; I can't recommend it. Having just moved to ABQ, I'm really hoping there is better out here than this.
