My experience based off a miyagi tort and a cali tort is that they are not shy whatsoever of intense lighting, and more importantly thrive under intense DIRECT flow. I have multiple frags/colonies of each in different areas, those with the highest flow (within 8 inch's directly in front of MP40) have shown substantially higher growth, more so than any other acropora I have seen, some of which have been hindered by such high flow.
