Calling all equipment junkies!!!! Input needed

Top end would be

Skimmer- $1000 including all pumps and equipment

Lights- unknown as to what I can use and salvage and what I need to buy new

Reactor- I think two 1502 should be able to handle the system

I also am going to need 2 more tunze 6100's

Its the same depth as my 175 and the lights have been fine over the tank. I get good growth and my clam on the bottom has tripled in size.

On the subject of lights, can I take the lights out of the fixture and put them into like luminarc reflectors? Never retro'd something before

250 watts in Lumenarcs would be fine- You can even make them yourself and save a chunk of cash- See my gallery

Was talking to the wife and told her the idea of tearing the fixture apart to get the lamps out,and she said why cant I just buy new lights and sell my old fixure..........

Good deal Clark. Having had 250 watt DE's over the tank and now having 400 watters in Lumenarcs, I would recommend 400 watt bulbs, especially if you want to keep SPS.

Indubidably!!

The tank was way dim with just 6 250w DEs.
