We're getting together in Bemidji on Oct. 28th to share our enthusiasm for this great hobby. If you're interested, pm me and I'll give you the details. We hope that this will be something we could do every other month or so. If this date doesn't work for you, pm me anyway and maybe you can catch the next one. Spread the word. Maybe you can carpool our way this time and next time we'll head your way. The more the merrier!

Out of curiosity, why not post all questions and concerns out loud on this forum?? RC has no problem witht that. I may bring two or more people with me. Please make it early enough for those of us who live a few hours away. I'd hate to hit a deer with my Florida license plates still on my car!! It wouldn't look right.

we are pretty flexable just want to make it so everyone who wants to come can. That would be great if you could bring a few people.

Here's the scoop from my camp. My wife and I are preggo with our third (and last). Just last night she started having contractions....early mind you. I won't get into all of the details, but I am on hold until further notice. I will have to play it by ear. I would LOVE to meet all of you and see some corals and such. It's been over 6 months for me, which is way too long to go without seeing a coral. Go ahead and make plans, but not around me. If I can make it, I will. I will tell my friends in town about this site and the meeting. They need education in reef tanks and it would be helpful to see other peoples tanks.

I just bought a beautiful Powder Blue Tang for $12 tonight. Two Coral Beauty's for $15 total. If I didn't buy them, they were going to throw them in with 3 huge groupers. Maybe I shouldn't have, but I could leave him there. Anyway.....

OK sounds good,My wife is "preggo"lol with our second but not due till May. if the other guys want to come they can. Did you get the powder blue from the Ben Franklin that is closing down?if so did they have any 20L tanks for sale there?

Yes, they are selling new and used tanks. I could get you a used 20 for next to nothing. I am working there after work in trade for stuff!!

I need test kits and snails, emeralds, shrimp, etc too so tagging along.

Good to see some interest about the meeting! I CAN'T WAIT!!

None of the above. It's the pet area in the Ben Franklin. What livestock they did have was in fairly poor condition. I picked up a few fish that looked decent enough to bring back to health. No Salifert anything, snails or crabs, corals or even live rock. They had a few pieces, but I got those early. I will check tonight on a 20L. They have been selling the used ones for $40 plus, if they got the filters and such with it. There is a 55g with the center brace broken that can be had for less and one could put a new brace in it's place for fairly cheap. I don't want the hassle myself.

I may buy a bunch of their products from the shelf and sell/trade it off for things I need, but again, don't know if I want the hassle. I get a deal because I have been volunteering there each night after work. So they give me a bigger discount for stuff.
