Calling all Techies - Need Help

I have an lockout switch on my RO/DI unit so I am forced to reset it when the level in the barrel gets down to a certain level. It is designed to top off both sumps automatically, the water lines coming out of the barrel are not down too far so that if a snail would happen to hold the float valve down it could only drain so much water into the sumps and not cause a problem. Because the water lines are not too far down I have to reset the lockout switch to get the water to start filling again. Anyway, I don't know if this is a lockout switch problem or a float switch problem but RO/DI unit is not shutting off completely. It is running at 65psi like normal, when it gets to the level where it should shut off it goes to 10psi and is still dripping. I did not install this system, someone else did and apparently cannot be reached anymore. Can anyone help with this problem? I would sure appreciate any advice or help.

Sounds kinda like your auto shut off on the ro unit might be having issues.

It could be a few different things, the auto shut off valve is bad or if i remember right someone here had a problem with their unit not shutting off and it was a bad flow restrictor or something along those lines. But if i had to guess it would be like Jason said, your ASO switch. I guess it could also be a bad float valve seal as well. If it were me, i would just call the filter guys and they should be able to properly diagnose your problem. They are super nice guys and great to deal with.

This is not your typical shut off valve, it was not meant for this purpose, a friend of mine that works for a mechanical company put it on there and it is a VERY pricey piece of equipment and I don't even know where to take it to get it fixed, I'm not even sure it is this piece of equipment that's faulty. How would I know if it's the flow restrictor? That would be a cheap easy fix. It's also not a float valve in the tank it's a float switch.

floor or connections wet anywhere?
-look around for leaks, a small leak will stop your unit from shutting off.

if its losing pressure at shut off it just keeps running
