I am setting up a 220g mixed reef in the next few weeks. just ordered the tank last week. so im just cruising the site here and researching everything as we all do, i came across possible clown pairs...i always had a sugar tooth for gold stripe maroons. couple questions...Are they good reef fish if housed with an anemone? How aggressive are they with a nem in the tank, towards other fish? Any type of tank mates i should avoid? And last but not least,,, what is the normal anemone that best suits the GSM? any help would be mucho appreciated!!! thanx...

They can be very aggressive.
Maroon Clowns natural host is the Bubble tip anemone.
I have never had a tank that size, but ive heard lots of stories of them taking over bigger thanks than yours.

I had a pair of GSM for 4 years living in my carpet nem and Bubble nem. Mine were very aggressive towards all fish. I sold them a year ago so I could add other fish to my tank.

I've had a mated pair for 6-7 years. The female loves biting my hand, but other then that, the pair is pretty mellow. They stay around their 10ish BTA's on their side of a 5' 120g.
