Calm in 12ga with 70w MH?

Let me start by saying I know I have a lot of reading to do first but I was wondering if it is possible to keep calm in a 12gal nano with 70w MH lights? If so what type do you suggest? I figured I would get some expert opinions from the forum before proceedings.

Try looking for the aquapod 24 gallon, i believe it comes with a 150watt metal halide.
I would not keep a clam under a 70w MH.
Or in as little as 12 gallons, if you put corals in there to, you will have a heck of a time with Calcium consumption.

I kept a 4" corcea in a 12g Nano for over a year - w/ 150w of MH lighting.

He grew quite fast, and was gorgeous. I have since moved him into a 75g mixed reef, but to answer your question yes you can keep one in a 12g - and honestly 70w should be just fine. Place him towards the top of your rock work.

Longevity may be an issue as he grows out of the tank - but you MUST be dilligent in your water changes, as well as stability of the water parameters.

Thanks for the relpys I will be doing some reseach so that I can make the best decession when the time comes.

i've got one in 12g AP w/ 70watt MH right now...he's doing really well. I'll post pics later...also quite a bit of SPS, but I have been using Two Little Fishies Calcium A & B

Nice pics and nice clam. Thanks again. Looking forward to getting the tank going so i can make sure everything has stablized before thinking about adding a clam.
