i would likew to keep a clam is it posibleto do calseam by hand and what would i need any advice on this please
 
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but the clam forum here on RC has a lot of information that you could read.
 
I believe you're referring to calcium.
There are many brands and dosing methods available.

I'll move this to the clam area for better attention.

I use two part B-Ionic in my 54 gallon tank and easily maintain a calcium level of 425-450. Most clams prefer calcium levels from 280 to 450. You add one milliliter of each compnenet of B-Ionic for each 4 gallons of tank water.
